We had a crazy weekend full of parties and fun stuff, so I’ve been just dying to get the photos from Saturdays Sesame Street party up to show you guys. Lots of work went into putting together this two-year old theme party, though I can’t really call it work because it’s so much fun!

Our client wanted a colorful Sesame Street theme with a candy bar full of treats. We designed the candy station and filled jars with skittles, m&ms, twizzlers, sprees and lots more. We used dots and stripes in primary colors throughout. The backdrop was a cute paper pattern I found with big bright dots. The treat bags actually had the same big dot pattern. I made the buffet labels to coordinate and the happy birthday banner. Those lollipop trees were another crafty project I had found online and decided to try out. They came out super cute!

For the main entrance table we used colored boxes and tissue pom flowers to build up the decor. Hung large letters and numbers on the walls and also placed on tables. Found the sesame street sign online, printed and lettered with the birthday girls name.I made pinwheels and party hats from scrapbook paper to match and placed those all around.

For the food buffet I found the cutest little cookie monster (part of a game) that worked out perfectly. Created water bottle labels and silverware wraps. The amazing cupcakes are from Georgetown Cupcakes! Aren’t they great?

Guests were given sesame street lollipops and frosted sugar cookies. Children went home with favor pails full of treats- polka dot socks, crayons, coloring books, bubbles, and storybooks.

The party was a big hit! Everyone loved the candy bar especially. The dots and stripes came together so great and would work for so many other parties! I’ll be putting up some of the printables for you guys in our Etsy store soon.
